Outdoor Games
Our Global Citizen Summer Program kicked off with a week full of exciting outdoor games! The participants, aged 6-15, enthusiastically engaged in tag, basketball, soccer, and volleyball activities. These games not only promote physical fitness but also teach teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship. The outdoor sessions are designed to keep the children active, healthy, and happy while fostering a sense of community and friendship.
Math, Science, and Other Subjects
Learning doesn’t stop during the summer at Urji Women Support Association! Our program includes daily educational sessions in math and science, along with English reading, writing activities, Arabic classes and also other languages. These classes are held every morning, ensuring the children stay sharp and ready for the upcoming school year. We incorporate fun learning games on the computer, like Khan Academy and ABC Mouse, to make education engaging and interactive. Weekly Kahoot quizzes help review and reinforce the knowledge gained, making learning both fun and effective. The structured curriculum ensures a balanced approach to both academic and recreational activities.
Crafts and More
Creativity is at the heart of our Global Citizen Summer Program. Afternoons are dedicated to arts and crafts, sewing, and cooking classes. These sessions rotate every Saturday, allowing the children to explore different creative outlets. From making beautiful art pieces to learning essential cooking skills, the children can express themselves and discover new talents. We also host storytelling workshops and board games, encouraging social interaction and collaborative learning. The crafts and more sessions not only develop fine motor skills but also inspire creativity and innovation among the young participants.
