URJI Women Support Association of Edmonton

Black Women Empowerment
Safe Circle

The Urji Women Support Association empowers black women by providing a safe circle and promoting inclusion of Black Women to overcome discrimination and racism.

The association hosts various activities and sessions aimed at personal and professional development. These activities help women gain valuable skills, boost self-confidence, and enhance their overall well-being.

These gatherings provide a safe space for Black women to openly share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs, creating a supportive network that promotes solidarity and mutual understanding.

One of the unique aspects of Urji’s support is its celebration of culture through food. The association recognizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage and identity. It often hosts cultural food events, where members can savor traditional dishes, learn about different culinary traditions, and appreciate the richness of their diverse backgrounds.

The Urji Women Support Association is a cornerstone in the lives of Black women, offering a platform for discussion, personal growth, cultural celebration, and a supportive community that empowers its members to thrive in all aspects of life.
